Quote to Consider

Herman Hoeksema: "... as we stand by the gap caused by the fall and disobedience of man, and discover that only Immanuel fits into the gap to save us, we know that divine wisdom so designed all things that even our sin must serve the purpose of opening the way for the coming of the Son of God in the flesh. O the depth of riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!" (The Triple Knowledge, vol. 1, pp. 259-260).

Announcements (subject to God’s will)

An RFPA Update (containing a section on the CPRC Bookstore) is on the back table today, as is a Philippines newsletter about the First Reformed Church of Bulacan and their pastor, Rev. John Flores.

The two church visitors arrived safely in Limerick yesterday and Rev. Haak will be preaching for the Limerick Reformed Fellowship today.

This evening we will have a preparatory service with the view to partaking of the Lord’s Supper next Sunday morning.

Remember in prayer those who are unable to worship with us today: those who are sick, those who struggle with the infirmities of old age, those who are required to do works of necessity and mercy, and those who are snowed in.

Monday Catechism:
6 PM - O.T. Beginners (Bradley & Alex)
6:45 PM - N.T. Juniors (Nathan, Jacob & Joseph)
7:30 PM - Heidelberg (Timothy)

The Tuesday morning Bible study will be held this week at 11 AM. We will consider aspects of the nearness of Christ’s return.

The Belgic Confession Class will meet this Wednesday, at 7:45 PM, to continue article 19 on the communication of Christ’s two natures in His works.

The Reformed Witness Hour broadcast next Lord’s Day (Gospel 846MW at 8:30 AM) is entitled "Now is Christ Risen" (I Corinthians 15:20) by Rev. R. Kleyn.

S. Wales Lecture: Rev. Stewart will speak on "The Spirit of the Age and the Church" in Porthcawl at 7:15 PM on Thursday, 18 April.

Offerings: General Fund - £614.44.

Website Additions: Four Italian translations were added this week.

PRC News: Rev. Overway preaches his farewell sermon today in Doon PRC and plans to move this week to take up his labours in Hope PRC in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Pastor Lau’s (of the ERC in Singapore) condition has deteriorated. This week, he developed another infection in his lungs and his kidneys are not able to keep up, so he has been moved back into the ICU and placed on dialysis. Let us continue to remember Pastor Lau and his family in prayer.
