Quote to Consider

Charles D. Alexander: “Yet because it is never the purpose of God that the end of all things should be capable of being measured by inquisitive prognosticators (or even of pious and troubled saints) the time lapse [of Rev. 10] is presented in terms of long or short, which at one and the same time assure the troubled church that her trials have an appointed end and that her times are already measured and weighed in the exact time cycles of the sanctuary” (Revelation Spiritually Understood, p. 217).

“Pray one for another.” Pray for Eunice Murray who is unable to worship with us due to her multiple sclerosis. Remember Sinead who has chronic fatigue and whose husband recently had a stroke. Pray for the elderly in the congregation who struggle with the infirmities of old age. Remember Timothy at university in S. Wales. There are others who due to sickness or works of necessity or mercy miss services on the Lord Day. Pray that our covenant God will keep them strong in the faith. Pray for the parents as they raise their children in the fear of the Lord. “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16).
