Quotes to Consider:

Jonathan Edwards: Men may be, and oftentimes are, the instruments of spiritual and eternal good to others; and wherein any are so, they are the instruments of greater good to them than if they had given them the riches of the universe" (Charity and Its Fruits, pp. 96-97).

John Gill on I Corinthians 13:4: [One who loves] is liberal, and bountiful, does good to all men, even to enemies, and especially to the household of faith; he is gentle to all men, affable and courteous to his brethren, and not morose, churlish, and ill-natured; he is easy and yielding to the tempers and humours of men; accommodates himself to their infirmities, capacities, manners, and circumstances, in every thing he can, that is not contrary to the glory of God, the interest of Christ, the honour of religion, his own conscience, and the good of men."

Encouraging Quotes

"Your visit to Porthcawl was greatly appreciated. I do thank God for sound preaching. The literature received by post is also of great benefit and I share with some people by photocopying and distributing ... God be with you both and your congregation." - South Wales

"Much love in Christ, and with renewed thanks for the great series on Jehoshaphat, too, which is most edifying and such excellent hearing. I plan to make copies of this series for [others] and I know they will be pleased to hear them as well as to lend them to their Christian friends." - New Zealand

"I’ve been listening to many sermons and lectures on your website and I’ve also read several pamphlets and articles. I enjoy your website very much. I hope I will sometime in my life have the opportunity to belong to a church like yours. I really love to listen to the sermons and lectures. As far as I can judge the teaching is good and sound and according to the Word of God and they are very sharp against all false teachings in the churches around us. I’m a Reformed woman in Sweden without any church affiliation because there does not exist any Reformed church in Sweden at all. There are no Psalms for singing in Swedish and the Reformed Confessions do not exist in Swedish. I converted from being a conservative Lutheran to the Reformed faith one year ago after having listened to many sermons of the Reformed Church of South Africa and studying the Reformed Confessions. I’ve put several Psalms in Swedish to the Genevan melodies myself to be able to sing the Psalms with my children and made a website for other interested people, if there ever will be (I also put old Swedish psalms on music on that website which I found in old hymnbooks which aren’t used any more.) And I’ve translated the Heidelberg Catechism, the Canons of Dordt and the Belgic Confession myself for use with my children." - Sweden

"Many thanks for the very informative material that I received today and the news about the fellowship. Good to know how the Lord is working there ... The C. R. News continues to be a blessing with difficult passages simply explained." - Co. Armagh, N. Ireland

"Very many thanks for the two items of news of and from your fellowship at Ballymena. How comforting it is to read that the Word of God is having free course. Our thoughts and prayers are for you all." - Oxford, England

"I certainly enjoyed browsing the website. I was very much encouraged by your lecture on predestination and will be returning, DV, in the future. Thank you for this valuable resource, and may the Lord use it and you mightily." - London, England

"I came across your website while looking for a reliable Christian material on marriage/singleness. There is a Reformed Christian fellowship that offers a Slovak translation of Marriage, The Mystery of Christ and the Church by David J. Engelsma so I put this author into Google and found your wonderful site. I would like to order from your bookstore in the future ..." - Slovakia

"I have enjoyed reading the C. R. News previously and I am sure that I shall continue to do so." - Kent, England

"I would like to order some books from your bookstore ... Wishing you all in the Fellowship God’s richest blessing. The money that is left after paying for books you can put toward the church." - Co. Monaghan, Ireland

"Thank you for the lovely Psalm-singing CD. It is a real blessing. Could you please send me the following from your catalogue and pamphlet list ..." - South Wales

"... I read the review of Reformed Dogmatics by Herman Hoeksema. Would you please send the two volumes? Many thanks." - Lincoln, England

"I am interested and encouraged by the growth in the CPRF. I see most of the weekly [bulletins] and have marked with interest your progress." - Clwyd, Wales

"I’m a Presbyterian pastor and Professor of Systematic Theology in Brazil ... I adopt a line of strict Reformed theology. I have read some theological texts by your pastors, especially of Dr. Herman Hoeksema ..." - Brazil

"Thank you for your e-mail and very prompt reply to my order. Yes it was through the article in Evangelicals Now that I discovered your website. I am looking forward to reading the books I have ordered and am thrilled to find that you have so many titles to choose from as well as audio tapes. Thank you so much." - Devon, England

"I’ve just seen in Evangelicals Now a very heartwarming and positive review of W. J. Grier’s The Momentous Event and it says that you’re offering a copy of this book free! I would be keen to have a copy if you’re not already out of stock. Something speaking sanity and warmth into this controversial area must be worth having." - Cornwall, England

"Please send me a copy of The Momentous Event as advertised in Evangelicals Now. Many Christians in Norway are taken up with Israel and the End Times ..." - Norway
