Quotes to Consider:

R. C. H. Lenski on Philippians 3:18: "The worst enemies of ‘the cross’ are not those who object to a crucified Saviour but those who deny that the cross and the sacrifice of Christ alone justify and save the sinner."

Martin Luther: "Whoever gives up the article of justification does not know the true God. It is one and the same thing whether a person reverts to the law or to the worship of idols. When the article of justification is lost, nothing remains except error, hypocrisy, godlessness, and idolatry ... Without the doctrine of justification there can be only ignorance of God. Those who refuse to be justified by Christ are idolaters. They remain under the law, sin, death, and the power of the devil. Everything they do is wrong. Nowadays there are many such idolaters who want to be counted among the true confessors of the gospel."

Announcements (subject to God’s will):

We extend our sympathy to the Buchanans in the death of Colin’s grandmother. The funeral was held yesterday. "Blessed be God ... the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation" (II Cor. 1:3-4)

Encouraging Correspondence:

"We had a marvellous night on Tuesday (in Limerick) when Rev. Stewart and his wife visited. It was wonderful to sit under the Word and to sing a Psalm ... Just posting a contribution for October tapes. Keep them coming, there is a real hunger down here for the Word which shows no signs of abating. May God’s blessing continue to be brought to us through your ministry." - Rep. of Ireland

"I appreciate very much the Covenant Reformed News sent to me regularly. Thanks for much. I am a retired Baptist Minister." - Wales

"... I was able to download a lecture from the Audio page entitled ‘Calvin vs. Pighius ... This was an excellent message, very much needed in our day when so called Calvinists preach and actively promote the erroneous ‘God’s desire to save all/free offer’ message, and really the thrust of their preaching and writing is nothing other than Arminianism." - Scotland

"Once again thanks for the CR News, etc. Still enjoy reading all materials sent." - Wales

"Just a note to say thank you for the CR News I receive every month. I really study and learn from it very much, especially in these apostate days." - South Africa

"Your series ‘Pressing Toward the Mark’, has been a blessing. I look forward every week to receiving the CPRF Bulletin and reading about what is taking place every week in Ireland. I look always on the CPRF website for updates of sermons and news. Thank you for the encouragement you have given us ..." - Texas, USA
