Quotes to Consider:
Herman Hoeksema: "[Christ] must be a
man, for only in the human nature will God punish the sin man
committed. He must be very man, flesh of our flesh, blood of our
blood, living our human life, and entering into our human
experience. He must be able to bring the sacrifice of his life and
enter into all the suffering of death willingly, and make of death
an act of love. He must, therefore, not be a sinner, but a perfectly
righteous man. However ... a mere creature is not sufficient, for he
must be able to deliver many, and his sacrifice must have infinite
value" (Triple
Knowledge, vol. 1, p. 258).
