Quote to Consider:

Herman Hoeksema: "God works in us to do His good pleasure, and we work out our own salvation, that is, we do the latter in the strength of the former. It seemed good to the Holy Ghost and to us [Acts 15:28], that is, the Holy Ghost caused us to know what seemed good to Him, and inclined our hearts to consider it good also" (Standard Bearer, vol. 16, p. 413).

Herman Hoeksema: "[‘Hallowed be Thy name’] implies that we ask, first of all, that our Father in heaven give us grace rightly to know Him ... this true spiritual knowledge of God presupposes that we have the right, the correct and full knowledge about Him. For how shall we know Him spiritually if we have no knowledge about Him, about His name, His Being, His virtues, His works, His salvation in Christ Jesus our Lord? This prayer therefore implies that we ask our Father in heaven that He may give us the true, unadulterated knowledge, the right doctrine of Him. This true knowledge of God is contained only in the Holy Scriptures. And we receive it and increase in this knowledge through the reading and searching of those Scriptures, as well as through the preaching of the Word and the instruction of ourselves and our children in that Word, in the home, in the school, and in the church" (The Triple Knowledge, vol. 3, pp. 508-509).

Encouraging Quotes:

"Your Quotes to Consider [on Acts 15 on church government and church assemblies] were a blessing, and it is a matter of more importance than people may believe at first reading. I can personally testify as to the importance of some knowledge as to the scriptural provisions of church government ... Thanks again for your quotes which inform us of the importance of church government according to Scripture." - Florida, USA

"Please find [a cheque] enclosed to cover the cost of the most recent book [Contending for the Faith] you sent me. It is superb." - Scotland

"Thank you for your welcoming e-mail and very appropriate Bible verse ... The websites you gave me were very interesting; especially the pictures of your new church—what a lovely building it is! My husband was particularly interested in the boiler room control panel as he used to work on these for pumping stations. I look forward to receiving the parcel of goodies." - Devon, England

"I just had a little look in the book and pamphlets you sent and I am really shocked because expressions of significant Reformed theologians sound so Arminian. The expression by Prof. Engelsma in ‘Reformation and 20th Century Protestantism’ that ‘sermons are moralistic little stories or harangues on social improvement’ is very apt, unfortunately. I am very thankful for the information and opportunity to buy CD & DVD box sets on ‘Ezekiel’s Vision of the Future.’" - Latvia

"Thank you very much for your teachings on the commandments [from the Heidelberg Catechism]. I have learned much from these sermons and pray it will keep me close to Him." - Co. Antrim

"I am very pleased to tell you that I have received this week the parcel of CDs/DVDs you have sent me. I have started to listen to them and already I am being blessed by your great teachings ... please do kindly add my name to your mailing list and send me regularly the leaflets and the C. R. News." - Mauritius

"Thank you so much for sending the September copy of the Covenant Reformed News. I wonder if you are still able to send issue 4 with the first part of ‘Reprobation and God’s Good Pleasure.’" - England

"We praise God for your sermons on Ezekiel 37-39. It is a joy to hear someone discoursing intelligently and with good sense and sound biblical understanding on the theme of the millennium and the spiritual kingdom of God in Christ and exposing the errors of all carnal worldly might and power kingdoms, be they pre-mil, post-mil, dispensationalist or Jewish. You do not know how much we thank God for encouraging us through your sermons ... May the Lord continue to establish you in His grace and truth. We pray that you will continue to love the truth and to speak the truth in love." - Australia

"I really enjoyed the sermon on predestination. If God knows something is going to happen, there is no chance of it not happening ... I wanted to add that I think the pictures of the church are amazing! I love the blue carpet, and the tulip window. Everything looks awesome!" - Georgia, USA

"... Please may I have some CDs. I have filled in the requests and have enclosed a cheque to cover the cost and to use in the work you do for the Lord ... Thank you for the Covenant Reformed News. I find them interesting and helpful." - S. Wales

"Thank you for sending a copy of the Rev. William Hamilton’s book [on the 1859 Revival] and I am also glad to receive the magazines, etc ... I read a number of pages and I found them to be of exceptional interest ..." - Berkshire, England

"I ... learn a lot from you. I find that your preaching is excellent and very logical. You have a wonderful perspective that looks at things just a little different than I see here. It helps me greatly ... I would attend your church if I was in Ireland! ... I would like to receive the e-mail version of the Covenant Reformed News." - USA

"Many thanks indeed for taking the time to reply ... I continue to find your preaching most helpful. Thank you so much! Have you anything that would help me come to understand the biblical view on church membership, which I am presently considering?" - Lincolnshire, England

"... I just subscribed to the CPRCs Facebook page! I like the idea of posting questions on-line for people to respond ... by the way, just something else to add ... CPRC’s church building looks fabulous, thank God. If I could, I would like to visit your church some day." - Singapore

"I pray this finds you well. I came across your excellent series on Ezekiel 37. Here is my response to the Mission President (LDS church), based in Dublin, where they misinterpret this chapter in order to prove the validity of the Book of Mormon ..." - Co. Londonderry

"I recently found your website and YouTube channel and received a great blessing from the material to the glory of God ... I bid you God-speed in your efforts which are not in vain in the Lord." - USA

"Your news regarding the CR News distribution and its translation into German and Italian was most encouraging and calls for more prayer and praise to the Lord. May He not only send forth labourers but His light and truth through the printed page. How much in church history has, for weal or woe, resulted from what is commonly referred to as ‘pamphleteering?’ For the good one may mention Luther and for the evil that of the early Brethren movement. Yes, indeed, we do not fight against flesh and blood but principalities and powers. The Lord of Hosts strengthen and encourage you as you labour in his Name and therefore not in vain." - Gloucestershire, England
