Volume I contains extracts of 17 Psalms, including ''Of gladness and of joyfulness'' (Ps. 51), ''LORD, thee my God, I'll early seek'' (Ps. 63), ''Ye gates, lift up your heads on high'' (Ps. 24), ''By Babel's streams we sat and wept'' (Ps. 137) and ''O Thou my soul, bless God the Lord'' (Ps. 103).

Volume II contains extracts of 31 Psalms, including ''O come, let us sing to the Lord'' (Ps. 95), ''God's law is perfect and converts'' (Ps. 19), ''O God of hosts, we thee beseech'' (Ps. 80) and ''Praise ye the Lord, for it is good'' (Ps. 147).
